According to what “Le Parisien” says, the rehearsal of the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games scheduled for April 8, is postponed. As noted, the whimsical weather observed at the beginning of Spring, but mainly the heavy rains of the period – which caused flooding – and raised the level of the Seine, brought problems to the passage of vessels under the bridges that exist. As “Le Parisien” notes, the organization of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in the Seine is far from a long, quiet river. The scheduled rehearsal of the coming Monday (08.04.2024) was set for 27 May. The organizing committee argues that the postponement of the test has no impact on the organisation of the opening ceremony. A total of 180 vessels 8-85 meters long will participate in the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games. Half (94) are intended for the reception of sports missions, while the rest will be dedicated to safety teams and technicians who will repair possible damage to vessels.
