First OSY electric bus test route with passengers Staikura and Tahiao

Today, the trial operation of 32 out of 140 OSH, which, on the basis of the contract for their supply, will have to take 18-hour daily routes – without passengers – until they complete 5,000 km in daily traffic conditions. On the first test route of electric buses in central Athens, they boarded one of them (on Syngros Avenue) following a section of its route, the Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation Christos Staikouras, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation Nikos Tachiaos and the CEO of OSY SA Stefanos Ayassoglu. The state-of-the-art bus, according to an OSY announcement, attracted the interest of primary school students, who passed through the stop and essentially constituted the first passengers. “The enthusiasm of children for the brand new electric vehicle is the greatest satisfaction for the implementation of the government’s announcement regarding the renewal of the company’s vehicle fleet” is noted in the announcement. OSY S.A., as Mr. Ayasoglou said, “walks gas” for its entry into the next day of urban transport and the transition to green urban mobility.
