Unveiling of the chinese robot that will explore Mars in 2020

The publicity gave it to me yesterday…
China the first images of the final designs of the robotic vehicle for exploration and boat landing intended for Mars. The images come from the State Agency for Science, Technology and Industry, which comes under the chinese ministry of Defence and has undertaken the implementation of the mission to the Red Planet.
China, which is investing huge funds in the space program, had announced in April that “by around 2020” intends to send unmanned ships to Mars, which will προσεδαφισθούν on the planet.
In the intervening period it seems that hardened even more the timing of the mission, after the launch will be in July or August of 2020, as stated in the national news agency of the country, Xinhua Zhang Ρονγκιάο, head of the project.
However, as he added, the project is not going to be easy. “The challenges we face are unprecedented,” he noted.
According to Xinhua, the mission will be launched from the space center in Wenchang in the province of Hainan. After a journey of about seven months, the lander will separate from the spacecraft, in order to start his descent to reach up to the surface of Mars with the robotic rover exploration.
The landing is expected to be in an area near the equator of the planet, which he will then explore the robot. For this purpose, will be fitted with six wheels, while it also features four solar panels, to produce electricity from solar rays.
According to the people in charge of the mission, the journey on the planet will last 92 days. Having a weight of 200 pounds, for the research will use 13 scientific instruments, including a remotely controlled camera and a radar, harris in which you can determine the soil composition and to look for traces of ice and water.
A key motivation behind the space program of China is the national prestige, as well as the conquest of space enhances the status of the country as a global superpower. The first celestial body that “visited” a chinese unmanned craft was a Moon which, in spite of the mechanical problems presented by, has finally been able to remain in operation for a longer period of time than predicted.
In 2011, China attempted to send a satellite to the Red Planet, but without success. The reason was that, although the Russian spaceship carrying him was launched into orbit around Earth failed to ignite their engines, to travel beyond earth’s orbit.
