The investment in the former airport of the Greek is the most important part of the recovery of the Athenian Riviera, stretching from Piraeus as the Sounion. A huge investment of about eur 8 billion, which will bring GDP growth of 2%, revenue for the state of 10,5 billion euros, a direct creation of 10,000 new jobs and $ 70,000 of in-depth twenty years, and attracting about a million. tourists extra per year. Also, it will contribute to the enhancement of the natural and residential environment of the surrounding Municipalities with the creation of spaces for recreation, sports activities, culture and entertainment, improving the quality of life of the inhabitants of the Athenian Riviera and the whole of Attica.
In the evaluation of the Greek programme by the institutions since last June pointed to the great and undue delay on the investment of the Greek, and the government has made a commitment through the mouths of responsible Ministers to bring within one month in Parliament the ratification of the agreement. It’s been two months of inactivity. The Ministers continue to put obstacles in the implementation of the investment, with the latest example of the overt intervention of mr Cleaver. What is the political will concerning the implementation of the investment for the development of the former airport Greek to you?
The delays are due to lack of interest or/and capacity of the competent Ministers, or is there a hidden agenda?
When it will come to the House contract to be ratified by the Plenary?
