in honor of the king Αντουλιαντέι.
More than 150,000 people, dressed in black, gathered on Saturday outside the Grand Palace in Bangkok to sing the national anthem in honor of the king Μπουμιμπόλ Αντουλιαντέι, who died on 13 October, after seven decades on the throne.
For many, the late king represented something like a father figure, which explains largely the fact that the authorities decided to declare a mourning period of one year for the death.
Heir to the throne is the son of Αντουλιαντέι A Βαγιραλονγκόρν. The eccentric prince, however, does not seem to be in any hurry to be crowned king. According to government officials wants the coronation to be postponed for at least a year as he said he wants more time to mourn his father.
