Wednesday (28.03. 24) The new National Strategy (2024-2030) by the Minister of State Stavros Papastavrou is expected to be presented to the Cabinet. According to the National Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the establishment and establishment of a National Centre for Disability with universal assumption of disability certification, accessible neighborhoods (which ensures accessibility to playgrounds, pedestrian transport networks, leisure areas), is included in education (by ensuring conditions for all children with disabilities in general schools. Services are provided by bodies registered on a Register of Service Providers, especially in the child’s physical environment, except for the Ministry of Education’s structures of competence for ages from four to six years old, and include advisory support, empowerment and family guidance. More specifically planned: Implementation of the Early Intervention Pilot Program Services to 1,635 children of very young age (0-6 years old) with disabilities and developmental disorders and their families. The application will be done through coupons to provide personalized therapeutic – educational programs for children from an interdisciplinary team with the participation of the family and its support. The aim of the programme is to ensure supported employment for up to 200 persons with DAFs and to cover the cost of vocational guidance and advice required for this target population. Financing accessibility interventions in homes and workplaces Through the action, infrastructure interventions will be implemented in disabled persons’ homes and people with mobility difficulties and workplaces in which disabled people work with a view to strengthening independent and independent living. Implementation of a pilot programme for Personal Assistance (Personal Assistant) The Personal Assistant is a program of active social policy and is addressed to people with disabilities regardless of category of disability (motor, mental, developmental, mental, sensory). The Programme is part of the wider framework of a system of social support for disabled people, with the aim of improving the quality of their lives and their families, by achieving their independent living and equal participation in all aspects of social, economic, political, cultural life. The programme shall be implemented in two phases, Phase I concerning the Region of Attica and Phase II concerning the other regions of the country Also, the implementation of Phase II of the pilot project in the regions of the country (except Attica concerning Phase I of the Programme) is planned. 7. Measures to prevent and combat gender violence and abuse of women and girls with disabilities, in particular domestic violence and sexual exploitation Planning and implementation of training and training actions shall be planned for the officials of the competent authorities, as well as information and awareness activities of the parties involved and the public in cooperation with ESAMEA and KETHI. Also, training of medical personnel, social workers, GDOPIF and police structures is planned for the methods of dealing with violence against women who are disabled persons in cooperation with KETHI and EDPS. The project concerns the enrichment of the material of the Disability Education Program by presenting the two tools prepared by GYAD (Guide and Handbook) and digital application for gender violence – GBV Pocket Guide. Funding is also planned by NSRF/ESDC and information actions for women and girls with disabilities regarding the prevention, recognition and reporting of incidents of gender violence and existing support services and seminars to parents/supervisors of disabled girls for their reproductive and sexual rights in cooperation with KETHI and ESAMEA. 8. Occupational Ascension Program for Children with Disability (67% or more) Training of Professional Contractors is provided (a necessary condition for registration on the National Register of Professional Contractors Parents and subsequent placement of a minor in professional underwriting). A matching of beneficiaries and beneficiaries of the professional underwriting, implementation and evaluation programme is envisaged. It is also designed to de-establish minors: placement of 100 minors with a disability of at least 67% or mental illness, including mental or developmental, with a disability rate of at least 50%, to professional contractors who have been evaluated and trained specifically for it. 9.
