The intervention Group Λεμφοιδήματος E.C.N.L. in Crete

Read the announcement: “The Multifactorial Response Team Λεμφοιδήματος (E.The.A.L.), that works… in the General University Hospital of Larissa, the only organized program λεμφοιδήματος in the Public Sector, implements the action: “Prevent λεμφοιδήματος”, which was launched in 2012 and continues successfully until today.
In this context, held 3ημερη action on the invitation and in cooperation with the Association for support of patients suffering from neoplastic disease: “Well I Live with cancer” in Heraklion, Crete. Specifically, over two hundred [200] people examined, evaluated, updated, trained this weekend. In particular, it took place the following actions:
1. Information, examination and evaluation of patients with lymphedema upper extremity on 28 and 29 January 2016 at the General University Hospital of Heraklion,
2. Informative speech on breast cancer patients on the prevention of λεμφοιδήματος on 30 January 2016, day, Saturday, in collaboration with the University Αγγειχειρουργική Clinic of the Pan. Yen. Nos. Heraklion and
3. Educational workshop [workshop], which was attended by health professionals on 30 January 2016.
The three-day action of multi-actor Response Team Λεμφοιδήματος [E.The.A.L.] of the University B. Nos. Larissa has been successful. The Members of the E.The.A.L. express their satisfaction for the implementation of the actions, the touching reception and response to patients and professionals as well as for the excellent cooperation with the Association of support of patients. THE E.The.A.L. thanking the Association for support of patients: “EF I LIVE with cancer” for the invitation and the Usa.C.N. Heraklion and the Chamber of commerce of Heraklion, for the hospitality of the actions on their premises.
The invitation of the Association “EUROPEAN LIVING with cancer” and the implementation of the actions already brought, and other multiplier effects: cooperation at the level of expertise both with the Club “WELL I’m LIVING with cancer” as well as with professionals of the two [2] Hospital of the city of Heraklion. Patients with breast cancer no longer will be informed about the possibility of creating λεμφοιδήματος after treatment for breast cancer and ways of prevention. Patients with lymphedema upper extremity initial stage will be informed on the methods of coping and self-management while listening to that soon in Heraklion, Crete, has started a program for treatment of patients with lymphedema after treatment for breast cancer.
