The government gets whisked back to the layout for the οffshore

After the general outcry, but the shots from the inside, the government wraps and…
takes back the provision for the participation of politicians in offshore companies.
As announced by the government representative, the government will table tomorrow an amendment to restore the incompatibility for participation of civil persons in offshore, the administration, and the share capital of companies with headquarters abroad, and will ask for a roll-call vote in the House.
It is worth noting, however, that cycles of the Building Process, after the announcement of the lady’s Γεροβασίλη, wanting to lower the back flip of the government, stressed that “does not withdraw anything. Added strict provision to the existing”.
The whole statement of mrs. Γεροβασίλη is as follows:
“The government with the provision in the bill for the prohibition of involvement of political persons in the administration or in the share capital of companies based in other countries non-cooperative tax in the Hellenic Republic, did the right thing.
Identified so clearly the limits of the ban, so that the device can be applied and the prohibition to make sense.
The previous provision with rejoicing had passed in 2010, the then government of PASOK, prohibiting the participation in offshore companies, but it was impractical as it did not define the meaning of an offshore company.
At the same time I don’t allow the participation of companies with headquarters abroad.
It is precisely this contradiction was creating a deliberate confusion and lead to non-implementation of the ban.
This labelling was then done and the scientific committee of the House.
For the same reason and the group of states against corruption of the Council of Europe (Greco) has requested to change the layout so that it can be applied.
Despite the clear explanations that have already been given to those who at times have been found in lists and have engaged proven to movement of black money, politicians and publishers – shaking the finger on the Left, for the alleged attempt to cover-ups and to provide privileges to the political staff.
Because the Left and the government of SYRIZA, ANEL is no joke in terms of issues of transparency and control of political money, today we lift the glove.
Face of the unprecedented attempt of distortion and vilification are not going to sit idle.
Tomorrow we are tabling in the House amendment which prohibits and considers it incompatible with the participation of politicians, i.e. members of Government, parliamentarians, heads of Political parties, of Members, General Secretaries, district commissioners and Mayors, in the administration or in the share capital of companies registered outside the country.
The ban so it will not be to generally and in the abstract, the participation in offshore companies which was and still is impossible to define legally.
The ban will be general and universal.
The government will pursue the roll-call vote on the specific provision, tomorrow in the Greek parliament.
We challenge now the destroyers of morality and transparency to vote in favour of the provision and not to judge on own matters.
So any leader of a party has shares in or other relationship of his own or a family member of a person with a foreign company, we challenge you to declare it first, and not pretending to be our government the τιμητή against corruption.
In this place, can’t be done another ανεχτό to the thief is shouting to scare the landlord”.
The front page of the “Dawn treader”: “Offside with the off-shore”
The journal of SYRIZA is released today with a central title “Offside with the off-shore”, indicating at the Maximos Mansion you have to get back to the setting.
“A red line for the society, the incompatibility between civic engagement and “offshore” economic activity in tax havens, even “tax-cooperative”” writes the “Dawn” and notes: “The legal ability of ministers, members of parliament and, in general, state officials to develop economic activities in “tax uncooperative” countries, including dozens of “tax havens”, in a period in which the burdens of exit from the crisis is borne by those who do not have escape route, is a social challenge and needs to be lifted immediately.
Either the required lenders or the recommended by the GRECO (group of states against corruption), the government has no substantial reason to insist on a provision that on the one hand, offend the public sense of fairness and, on the other hand will never be implemented, because no government and no person will be able to stand in their place. The fact that opposition parties and particularly the South.D. they knew the theme and now pretend they don’t know obviously and I don’t have to work netting”.
