The Brexit puts a padlock in 6 restaurants of Jamie Oliver

The famous chef…
Jamie Oliver is closing six of the 42 restaurants of the chain Jamie’s Italian in the Uk mainly because of Brexit. The prices of the materials that he buys from Italy have increased because of the fall in the value of the pound against the euro after a referendum in the country to exit the EU.
Restaurants in Aberdeen, Cheltenham, τοΕξετερ, Tunbridge Wells and London in the Λάντγκειτ and Richmond will soon be closed.
The move will affect 120 workers, less than 5% of the total number of employees of the chain, which the company announced that it will be placed in other locations of the same chain.
The company argues that the market is “tough” and that the uncertainty caused by the Brexit has increased the pressure.
The head of the chain, Simon Μπλάγκντεν stated that “as he knows every restaurant owner this market is tough and after Brexit the pressures and uncertainty have made it even tougher”.
He said that to be profitable in every restaurant of the chain needs to attract to 3,000 customers a week. The Jamie’s Italian comprises of 28 restaurants abroad, and the company said it plans to open another 22 outside of the Uk.
