Test: See if you have chances to survive from a heart attack. - Athens Times

Test: See if you have chances to survive from a heart attack.

The reasons to exercise systematically, are many and well known, including increased protection from heart attack…
In fact, those who are in good physical condition not only less at risk of a heart attack but they also have more chances to survive if you have heart attack.
Researchers of the leading american university Johns Hopkins studied the scores of MET (metabolic equivalent) of people who did a cardiac stress test duration of 15 minutes and found that the score correlates with the chances of survival from a heart attack.
Metabolic equivalents are an indicator for the evaluation of the physical condition, and are calculated based on the duration and intensity of physical exercise.
Of the participants who suffered a heart attack within six years, those who had succeeded to the original test score WITH a 10 for a minute at least seemed to have a 40% chance to survive the event compared with those who achieved lower scores.
You should do a similar test
You can do a test equivalent to the above in order to evaluate your physical condition and, by extension, the chances to survive in case of a heart attack.
Try to cover a distance of 1.6 km within 10 minutes. This rate is considered to be relatively satisfactory as an indication of fitness. If, of course, cover the distance in less time or you can cover with this rate, running a greater distance, even better.
If you don’t manage to finish the test and leave, then you probably need to improve your cardiorespiratory capacity. Put in your life a, mild initially, a programme of systematic exercise in order to reduce the risk of heart attack or at least decrease the chances of serious complications in the event of a heart attack.
If you decide to start a fitness center, several machines (treadmill, bike etc.) provide an indication rating WITH the time that you exercise, so it will be easier to evaluate your performance.
