Debate today in the European Parliament on impact of refugees on the Greek islands and the economy at the initiative of Nikos Chountis

Read the announcement: “The impact of the refugee crisis,… Greek islands, and generally in the Greek economy will be discussed today in the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice & Home Affairs of the european Parliament, following a request from Nikos Chountis.

The Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice & Home Affairs (LIBE) of the European Parliament-will be discussed today (17.45 cet) on the impact of the refugee crisis on the Greek economy and the Greek islands, following a request from the mep of the people’s Unity, Nikos Chountis.
More specifically, Nikos Chountis utilizing article 130.4 of the Regulation of the European Parliament, which provides that “when it can be given within the time prescribed answer to a question, then, upon request of the author, the question shall be placed on the agenda of the next meeting of the Committee responsible”, they filed a motion to be debated in the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice & Home Affairs the written question tabled to the Commission by 28 September 2015 for the impact of the refugee crisis on the Greek economy and which has not been answered within the allotted space of 6 weeks.
Today’s debate will open, with his speech, the mep of the people’s Unity, Nikos Chountis, then we will present the positions of the european Commission by a representative of, and in the end you will follow discussion with the members of the responsible Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice & Home Affairs (LIBE).
