Russia: Ukrainian drones hit 2 Rosneft refineries in Samara

Russian district governor Samara said today that her drones hit two Rosneft refineries in the area, without any casualties, however causing fire to one unit. Governor Dmitry Azharov said in a statement that the Shizran Refinery of this area is on fire, which the Volgas River crosses, but that Ukraine’s attack on the Novokubishev oil refinery was repelled. He stated that workers in both factories were removed and that there were no victims. Video shows a large fire at the Shizran Refinery, with emergency services operating at the site. In recent weeks Ukraine has targeted Russia’s oil infrastructure, hitting refineries throughout the European part of Russia. The Russians continue to attend the polls today, as part of the 3 day election process to promote the country’s president, with Vladimir Putin accusing Ukraine yesterday of trying to sabotage the elections, in which he is certain to gain a new term.
