Question by Mep Nikos Androulakis to the European Commission

Read the announcement: “Delayed deliberately the publication of the… Progress Report so that this can happen after the elections in Turkey?” What was the answer to a question of mep, the Commissioner responsible for The recent revelations of the minutes of the meeting between the President of the Commission, mr K. Juncker , the President of the Council, mr Donald. Τούσκ and the President of Turkey, mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, are in stark contrast with the response received on 05/02 mep of PASOK mr. Nikos Androulakis from the Commissioner responsible for Enlargement, mr Khan, to a question which had been tabled. Specifically, mr. Androulakis had submitted a question regarding the delay in publication of the Progress report of Turkey, to receive the following reply from mr Khan:
“The annual enlargement package of the Commission adopted on 10 November 2015. As is the tradition, adopted during the period mid-October to mid-November.” In this context, mr. Androulakis submitted today 9/02 re-question to the European Commission for if, indeed, “was delayed intentionally to give publicity to the Progress Report so that this can happen after the conduct of the elections in Turkey”, as stated in the minutes of the meetings, as well as for the if “it considers that this instrument constitutes external interference in the election process of Turkey”. In detail, the question: In a previous question to the European Commission had put the issue of relations between Turkey and the EU. The question of why it has been delayed to give the public the annual progress report of Turkey, I received the answer (05/02/16) from the Commissioner responsible for Enlargement, mr C. Han that: “The annual enlargement package of the Commission adopted on 10 November 2015.
As is the tradition, adopted during the period mid-October to mid-November.” On 8/2/16 posted on the internet text which is claimed to be extract from minutes of a meeting between the President of the Commission, mr K. Juncker , the President of the Council, mr Donald. Τούσκ and the President of Turkey, mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan. In particular, mr. Juncker appears to indicate: “Please note that we delayed the progress report until after the elections in Turkey. And we took criticism for that.” While at another point it mentions that the delay was “at the request of mr. Erdogan”. Will the Commission say: -Delayed deliberately the publication of the Progress Report so that this can happen after the elections in Turkey? -Confirms the fact that he had asked Turkey not to publish the Progress Report before the election? -Does not consider that this instrument constitutes external interference in the election process of Turkey?”
