On increased NSP and ELAS alert after ISIS-K’s terrorist hit in Moscow

Europe’s secret services are alert after 22 March in which it resulted in 137 people losing their lives. A “protective umbrella” with information exchange and additional controls and investigations have opened the last 24 hours the Eurozone states after the terrorist attack in Moscow. Information services shall analyse all the data at their disposal, while at the same time assessing potential risks and situations, in order to be able to prevent a new hit or prevent any plans of extremist organisations. So, since last Friday night (22.03. 24) additional security measures have been taken in Greece as well. The National Information Service in collaboration with various Greek Police services is in continuous collaboration. This has intensified controls and is expected to increase even more at the borders of the Greek territory, and more strongly are expected to be the safeguard measures in possible targets. At the same time, appropriate sources of information have been activated either from Greece or abroad. At the same time, however, all the protocols activated following major terrorist attacks have been put in place and have to do with the cooperation of all the secret services in Europe. Thus, there is now a constant exchange of information between the secret services of the states, in an attempt to recognise at an earlier time any additions of terrorist organisations. As far as controls are concerned now at the borders of our country and other states at the ends of Europe, controls will increase. This is because the competent agencies want to rule out the possibility of people entering, who are related to ISIS – K, who bled Moscow and then promoted to central Europe.
