DBRS: Growth 1.5% predicts for Greece in 2024 and 2.3% in 2025

Growth 1.5% predicts for the fourth largest rating house in the world, Canadian Morningstar, a forecast slightly higher than 1.3% of December 2023. For 2025 DBRS estimates that Greece’s growth will increase at 2.3%, higher by 0.3% than 2% of December. Please note that the aim of the Greek government contained in the 2024 budget report is to develop 2.9% of GDP this year. As the DBRS report notes, the global economy will remain weak in 2024 although for the US it has seen a marked improvement in prospects since December. In particular, the US is expected to display rates of 2.1% in 2024, with the average forecast 6 months ago being for growth only 0.6%. Europe is projected to remain under weak growth, under 1% this year. DBRS has made minor downgrades in its forecasts for large economies (Germany, France and the United Kingdom) for 2024. In Japan, the house went on to degrade and ‘see’ growth of 0.7% this year, while in China it expects growth of 4.6%.
