Olympiacos – Mars 3-0: Easy win for Super League 3rd playoffs 1

He easily defeated Mars 3-0 for the 3rd Super League 1 playoff match and returned to wins, after defeating the AEK to OPAP Arena. With an El Kaabi goal from the 6th minute, Olympiacos took the lead early and even though he missed a penalty with the same player, he found two more goals with Pontense and Karvalio to “clean” Mars in “Karaiskakis”. The “yellows” on the other hand did not have a good appearance and did not “threate” at any point in the race, staying away from the first 4th of the Super League 1 rating. The game Olympiacos succeeded in leading his first phase in the match, with Fortunis making the center from the right and El Kaabi taking the header, with the ball batting and defensive and ending in the nets, for the 1-0 Pirates on Mars. After the goal, Olympiacos even continued to have control of the race and had opportunities with Rodinei, Fortuni and Recho, for a second goal, while Mars had difficulty finding places to “beat” in counterattacks. The hosts could thus score again at 41′, as El Caabi “danced” Brabets and won a penalty, but he… then wasted the opportunity. He performed with a “scave” shoot ala Panenka, with Cuesta predicting it and blocking the ball. 1-0 was thus left until the end of the first half, with the image of the match not changing in the second part. Despite Akis Mantziu’s changes, Mars did not appear to be able to react and Olympiacos was again more aggressive. Jovetic was thus defeated by Cuesta in 54′, but Pontense managed to “clean” the match with a second goal in 60′′. The Portuguese extrem made a nice frame from the boundaries of the region and sent the ball to the corner of the Ares hearth, for Olympiacos’ 2-0 in the match. Medilibar’s team then dropped the beat, but it was the same one who “threat” again for goals. Jovetic and Chikinio missed good opportunities for their team, but Karvalio came from the bench as a change, to score the 3rd goal at 89′, with a nice frame close by, for the 3-0 Pirates in the match. Olympiacos thus returned to the victories and reduced its difference from the top, waiting for the results of the other games, while Mars remained behind the first 4th of the Super League 1 rating.
