Joanna Asimakopoulou: Humor has saved me from many situations in my life

‘ In my life I laugh a lot. All my friends have a sense of humor” states . On the occasion of the participation in ERT’s “Do What You Sleep”, Ioanna Asimakopoulou met Eleni Menegaki where she spoke both about Antonia’s role in the comedy series “Soy Soi Soi” and her broader television route. “I was told young: what a beautiful girl! When I was ashamed, I hid behind the puppet theater, there I felt safe. I was more strict on myself about how I should be and how to shape the inside. The theater manages to bring out feelings you haven’t felt and fight your shame. You put things out of yourself, but I always have the security of the role. I wanted to do different things,” the charming protagonist first stressed. “The proposals for television were for comic roles but in theatre I had performed many dramatic performances. But the truth is, dealing is one thing and it’s nice to change because changing is changing. Besides, comedy has drama in it. In my life I laugh a lot. All my friends have a sense of humor. And I ask for that in my relationships. We usually ask each other for what we have.” “Humor is a shield and has saved me from many situations in my life. Anger is not only a negative feeling but also a positive one, because if we don’t get angry at things, we won’t change them,” Joanna Asimakopoulou added to MEGA.
