Following the operations in support of the most deprived, due to the crisis, the Regional unit of Preveza secured additional financial help 559.322,27 euro for the supply of food and material assistance of those who χειμάζονται from the ongoing economic crisis, which will be available in 2016. This assistance relates to food, baby creams and baby milk, olive oil, meat (beef, pork and chicken), groceries (beans, lentils, feta cheese, sugar, macaroni, evaporated milk, etc.), types of οπωροπωλείου (fruits and vegetables), as well as kinds of basic material assistance, such as baby diapers, baby wipes, powders, laundry, cleaning items, etc. The 2015 food aid would come directly from the Ministry of Labour, Social. Security and Social Solidarity, while most of the management for the supply and disposal of the assistance will have it entirely to the Regional unit of Preveza. The Vice-Governor Of Bc.E. Preveza Stratos Ioannou stated: “we Were in the first place next to the χειμαζόμενους our fellow citizens by mobilising forces and by drawing help from wherever possible, as we did with the Shipowners’ Association.
