The new possibilities opened up for the tourist development of mount Parnassus and of παÏαπαÏνάσσιων Municipalities discussed the If. Minister of Economy, Development and Tourism, mrs. Elena Kountoura with the Mayors and officials from the tourism of the Municipalities of the region.
The meeting was attended by the Mayor of Distomo – Arachova – Antikyra mr. John ΓεωÏγακός, the Mayor of Amfikleia – Ελάτειας mr. George Gogos, the deputy Mayor of Amfiklia mr. Konstantinos scops owl, the President of the Public benefit Municipal Enterprise of Tourism and Culture of the Municipality Distomo – Arachova – Antikyra mr Ioannis Syros, the Responsible Tourism of the Municipality of Amfiklia – Ελάτειας, mrs. Immortality Στιβακτή, and the Chairman of the Committee on Tourism Development and Promotion of the Municipality of Delphi, mrs. Elizabeth Κοτσάνου-Ρομβοτσάνου.
The Minister referred to the significant prospects for a tourist attraction twelve months of the year in the region with significant benefits for local communities, through the development of thematic tourism, the emergence of new destinations, and the implementation of new tourism investments using the new financial and development tools.
The bodies transferred to the Minister welcomed the inclusion in the package, Juncker of the works of completion of the modernisation and upgrade of the Parnassos Ski Center concerning, inter alia, the supply of new lifts, the installation of wind turbines and wind farm electricity generating station, and the supply and installation of system of artificial snow.
The actors thanked mrs. Kountoura for the contribution to addressing problems encountered this year on the ski facilities and the immediate actions that ensured the smooth operation of the Parnassos ski center until the end of the winter season.
