Despite the global outcry of the last few years…
for the Festival Γιουλίν in China, where tens of thousands of dogs and cats are sold and slaughtered to be eaten, the festival is going to be normal this year.
The pictures that are coming to light, show dogs and cats in the tragic situation of waiting for their death sentences, while in other photographs the dogs are that have already been opened at two in the outdoor “butchers”.
This festival has caused a multitude of reactions with many organizations to call on the chinese government to ban it.
Of course, the consumption of dogs and cats in China is not something that only happens at this festival, but it is a general custom with more than ten million dogs are consumed annually. The organizations are trying to stop this but at present fruitless.
Worst of all is that most of these dogs come from homes where they were adopted, and the cunning sellers of the steal silently to sell them, and kill them. Many of the dogs still wear their collars by their owners, who live forever devastated as they know that most likely the dog became… dish of the day.
A whole campaign has launched around the world in which they participate, and famous personalities seeking to stop the Festival Γιουλίν and the regular consumption of dogs and cats but so far there is a result.
