Inside the nightclub at the time of the attack were 700 to 800 people. Some of them jumped on the Bosphorus to be saved from the fire of armed. The nightclub is just a few hundred meters from the place where took place the official celebrations for the advent of the new year.
According to a local television channel, many of the hundreds of people who were in the nightclub dived into the Bosphorus to escape from the offender.
