Farmers: New tractor protest tomorrow in Brussels

New protest plans for tomorrow Tuesday the . It is estimated, according to the Belgian media, that around 300 tractors will reach Suman Square and the streets around the Council building where the Agriculture Ministers will meet. Central arteries will be closed by 6:00 in the morning local time. This is the third time since the beginning of the year when farmers arrive with tractors in the European neighborhood of Brussels. On 1 February over 1000 tractors had flooded the streets, and there had been incidents outside the European Parliament. They returned on February 26, when they managed to approach just outside the Georgia ministers’ meeting building, breaking the police cordon and protective railing, burning tires and throwing hay out the streets. Tomorrow some groups are talking about ‘symbolic protest’ so that there is additional concern about the problems facing the primary sector. Source: RES-AE
