Corinth Canal: Countdown for its reopening

It is expected to be available for navigation before summer. A series of projects are completed… The Corinth Canal has been reopened since 1 May 2024. The company that manages the historic and well-known Corinthian channel has announced that the canal will be available for navigation, from 1 May 2024. The aim is to serve the movement of the current tourist season. All this time, serious and large works are being done on the canal’s ramps to avoid any new landslides in the future. According to the ERT, other projects are being prepared in the area, so that in the coming years, radical modernisation and upgrading of the entire area will occur. The company recalls that customers will be able to use the new upgraded electronic trading environment where they can plan the time of arrival, calculation and payment of fees through the secure pay by link system.
