Available electronically through it is from Wednesday 6 March the Permanent Residence for the inhabitants of 277 Municipalities of the country. The Joint Ministerial Decision (FEK II 1460) was signed by Niki Kerameos, Dimitris Papastergiou and Theodore Livanios. Through a very simple process, interested citizens can submit their application electronically and receive the certificate in the Citizen’s Deposit Box in, easily and without unnecessary bureaucracy. The certificate is issued by the Municipality, where the address of residence is within 10 days. If the deadline is passed and there is no answer, citizens are now able to issue their own confirmation online from gov.gr. The service is accessible either directly to gov.gr, or to the section “Citizen and everyday life” and the sub-section “Directorate of residence and communication”. For the submission of the application: Citizens are connected to their personal passwords to TaxisNet. They shall enter or confirm in the application the information required, attach the necessary supporting documents and submit their application. Upon submission, the application shall be sent electronically to the City Deposit Box where the address of residence is located, for the purpose of checking and completing the procedure within 10 days. If the 10-day period is over without an answer, citizens can issue the certificate online via gov.gr, provided the conditions are met. Upon completion of the procedure the certificate is sent to the Citizen’s Deposit Box at gov.gr and citizens are informed by email at the email address and SMS at the mobile phone number, which they have stated on the National Communication Register, at emea.gov.gr. The certificate issued bears the validity characteristics of gov.gr, i.e. unique code number in alphanumeric form and QR format, as well as advanced electronic signature of the Ministry of Digital Governance and is valid when it is traded both as an electronic document and as a printed document. It is worth noting that they will gradually join the gov.gr and receive applications for permanent residence and the other municipalities of the country. Infrastructure and applications have already been created for the 322 municipalities of the country. The Joint Ministerial Decision (FEK B’ 1460) was signed by Interior Ministers, Niki Kerameos, Digital Governance Dimitris Papastergiou and Deputy Minister of Interior, Thodoris Livanios.
