Athens Stock Exchange: Rise 0.89% – At 131.76m euros

Upward trends prevailed at today’s meeting , with the market returning to the level of 1,430 units, amid an upward movement of European markets. Since high capitalization, PPC, OTE, Mytilene and Motor Oil have been overpaid. The Stock Exchange’s General Price Index closed at 1430.35 units, rising 0.89%. Intraconferences recorded a higher value at 1,433.50 units (+1.11%). The value of the transactions was EUR 131,76 million, while 34,101,305 shares were traded. The high capitalisation index rose to 1.08%, while the mid-capitalization index was reinforced to 0.53%. Of the shares in high capitalization, the largest rise was recorded by PPC shares (+3.48%), OTE (+2.52%), Mytilene (+2.34%), Motor Oil (+2.33%), ELPE (+2.24%), PPA (+2.17%) and Jumbo (+2.17%). On the contrary, the largest decline was noted by the shares of National (-1.5%), Terna Energy (-0.94%), Quest Equity (-0.68%) and OPAP (-0.60%). The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank by moving 8,333,107 and 8,100,569 shares respectively. Piraeus recorded the largest transaction value with 31.64m euros and Eurobank with 14.64m euros. Upward 67 shares, 40 dropouts, and 23 remained stable. The biggest rise was in shares: Kyriakouli +13.01% and Moda Bango +9,33%. The largest fall was recorded by shares: Bioter – 8.37% and Epsilon Net – 5.37%.
