Athens Stock Exchange: A strong decline of 2.51% was made by the General Index, at 291.59m euros by the turnover

‘ Today 11.3.2024 their prices with the market retreating below the level of 1,400 units on the Athens Stock Exchange. An example of the climate that prevailed on the Stock Exchange is that no share of high capitalization was able to close with a positive sign. The General Index closed at 1,391.26 units, scoring a strong decline of 2,51%. The value of the transactions moved to high levels at 291,59m euros, of which 164m involved transactions in Piraeus, while 71,351,247 shares were traded. The high capitalization index fell to 2.68%, while the mid-capitalization index declined to 2.55%. With losses all shares in high capitalization were closed and the largest fall was recorded in Motor Oil (-5.04%), Greece (-4.21%), Viohalco (-4.17%), Elvalhalcor (-4.04%), Mytilene (-4.02%), Eurobank (-3.5%), PPC (-3.34%), Autohellas (-3.27%), Terna Energy (-3.24%) and OTE (-3.20%). The largest volume of transactions was presented by Piraeus and Eurobank by moving 41,250,802 and 9,755,646 shares, respectively. Piraeus recorded the largest transaction value with 164.82m euros and the National with 18.20m euros. Upwardly 15 shares were moved, 93 drops and 15 remained stable. The largest increase was noted by the shares: Elinoil + 4.36% and Three Alpha(k) +3.47%. The largest fall was recorded by shares: BIS -9,38% and Progressive -9,36%.
