At the War Museum of Athens will be presented the Photographic Archive Koutoulakis, Municipality of Malevizi, in the context of a Workshop with theme: “75 years of the …
Battle of Crete: Memory and law for the occupation and the resistance”, organized by the Human Rights Centre of the University of Crete, Region of Crete, the Municipality of Malevizi and the Panhellenic Federation of Cultural Cretan Associations.
The Workshop will be held on Sunday, 2 October 2016, 10:30, while the exhibition will remain at the War Museum until Wednesday 5 October, with free admission for the public.

In a statement, the Mayor of Crete, Costas Μαμουλάκης pointed out: “Continuing the effort to promote the valuable photographic archive Koutoulakis, we are ready to present unique photographic documents and in Athens, in the framework of a Workshop organized with the cooperation of the Human Rights Centre of the University of Crete, Region of Crete and of the Panhellenic Federation of Cultural Cretan Associations. An event that gives the opportunity to the residents of the capital to learn about and see up close the destruction and the crimes committed in the island of Crete during the nazi Occupation.
Next stop for the File, is Germany, which as you know with the cooperation of the Greek Embassy, will present the Archive of Koutoulakis in Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Munich, Stuttgart and Frankfurt.
I would like to publicly congratulate and thank all my colleagues who work hard with the aim of highlighting the File Koutoulakis, Region of Crete, the regional Governor, mr. Stavros Arnaoutakis and the Executive Σϋμβουλο of Culture mr. Kostas Φασουλάκη and, of course, the University of Crete and the Centre for Human Rights, in particular the coordinator of the Centre, and if. Professor of the University mr. Dimitris Xenakis, who has taken the burden of organising the event in Athens.
