Akar: “The balance in the Aegean does not change with the used Rafale that Greece bought”

Commenting on the purchase of 18 Rafale aircraft from Greece, Akar said that “there is no question of changing the power balance with three or five used planes”.

Essentially trying to discredit their acquisition by the Greek Air Force, but also to respond to the recent statements of the Greek counterpart Nikos Panayotopoulos, according to which: “Rafale will sharply strengthen our air power”.

Akar reiterated that Turkey will not allow its rights in the Eastern Mediterranean to be violated, stressing provocatively that “Turkey’s call for peace, international law, and good neighborliness should not be seen as a weakness” on Ankara’s part.
