Air Force seeks the next generation of pilots – Flight simulators for students

Young people have come out or looking for young flyingmen who will be found in the next few years in the F-35, Rafale and F-16 Viper coccups. The ambitious Plan of the Air Staff aims to bring through modern technology the air spirit near society and especially students, winking at the pilots of the next generation. It also seeks to give them the opportunity for an unprecedented experience, which can prove decisive for those who wish to be the Air Force’s tomorrow’s “olds” and fly, along with flying from the War Fates, a fighter aircraft through a simulator to take a small flight taste on a war mission over the Aegean Sea. Four flight simulators are expected to be built in the next period under the responsibility of the KEAT and the newly formed Operational Synthetic Education Squadron following a relevant decision of the General Air Force Staff, at the initiative of the Chief of Staff of the Hellenic Defence General Demosthenes Gregoriadis. More specifically, the program concerns the construction of two children emulators and two for older children and adults, who will initially simulate F-16 fighter simulators and then it will be possible to add the other types of fighters that our Air Force has. At very low cost, the four emulators that will also have a moving seat will be placed in corresponding mini containers painted in the colours of HAF, which will be able to be easily transported to every corner of Greece and reach areas where residents and especially students do not have easy access to military airports and War Fates so that they can have an image and performance from the Greek fighter aircraft. In collaboration with local government, bodies, clubs, etc., mini containers will be moved to enable students and anyone else who wishes with the help and advice of Air Force flying to live the flight experience with a fighter and be initiated into the air idea. The cost of the program will be extremely low, while the four simulators will be constructed and assembled by Greek hands from materials of commerce. It all began after the construction of the first made in Greece emulators by Air Force officials. Simulators to whom the public gained access to the Air Force celebration with the participation being impressive. It was the ambitious project of a handful of people with the help and support of the Air Staff. With the project turning into an important educational program and reaching the establishment of the Operational Synthetic Education Squadron based under KEAT in 117 Battle Wing in Andravida. The MESE, although recently inaugurated, has already offered thousands of hours of training to the ten simulators it already has. While the goal is to develop a network-centric system with the placement of corresponding emulators in all War Fates, which are not limited to training flying but also to a number of other specialties such as air defense executives or even JTAC Executives (Joint Terminal Attack Controller) from Special Forces and Special Operations Units. The design of the Air Staff also includes the upgrading and conversion of the newly formed Synthetic Education Squadron to Center, as from the MESE simulators has spent almost all of the Air Force flying from all the War Fates.
