Governor of the Attica region, Rena ΔοÏÏου, and the Mayor of Rafina – Pikermi, Claus Πιστικίδης. This is a project with a total budget of 1.050.000 euros with VAT, which is financed entirely from own resources of the Region of Attica.
The construction of the new Stadium in the Municipality of Rafina – Pikermi, and in particular in the area Diakos Pens, has as its objective the upgrading of the conditions of fitness of the citizens and the conduct of the matches and the trainings of the groups in a more streamlined space. In addition, provided for the creation of conditions for free access of Persons with Disabilities, while the implementation of the project is expected to contribute also to relieve the traffic burden of the area, the movement of which is already compromised by the operation of the port, as well as by the fact that the existing stadium is located in the centre of the city. The project aims to reduce air pollution from the emission of the exhaust gas of passing vehicles, but also in the restoration of the environmental balance, as well as the existing field will be converted to green space.
In particular, among other things, work will be carried out for the construction of a new football stadium on the basis of the specifications of the General Secretariat of Sports, with modern synthetic turf specifications approved by FIFA. Subsequently, it includes the completion of around the field of the full subbase of the track of 400 meters and six paths (without the final surface, which will be built in the next stage), the construction of installation of outdoor lighting in the stadium, the construction of the subbase for the parking of vehicles, as well as interventions for the landscaping and planting.
Finally, the project will be auctioned by the Region of Attica and will be executed by the Directorate of Technical Works, Regional Unit of Eastern Attica.
