Why do elevators have mirrors?

It’s an object that we use daily, most of us. Have you ever wondered why elevators have mirrors?
We searched and found the most likely explanations. The main reasons for the existence of mirrors, it’s psychological and security reasons.
When the industrial development of the buildings started to get higher and higher, the use of elevator became essential. The lifts at that time were quite slow and often the people who used them expressed complaints. The engineers of the era began to think of the solution to the problem. One engineer expressed the view that the elevators are slow, but because people don’t have something to occupy their time in the path, one gets the feeling that time does not exist! So it was proposed the use of a mirror and the first tests showed that the complaints have decreased substantially, so their use was established. People have something to be employed in the path and thus overcome the psychological pitfall of inaction!
At the same time for security reasons require the use of a mirror. The daily use of the lift has incorporated in our daily lives and many times we are entering abstract. But what if, for some reason, the chamber does not δρίσκεται behind the door? There is a risk of falling into a manhole. So the existence of mirror make it easier for us to understand the existence of the chamber in contrast to the dark shaft.
Also a lot of people have claustrophobia and confinement in such a small space, causing them inconvenience. With the use of mirror space “doubles” and ease the feeling of claustrophobia.
