When the industrial development of the buildings started to get higher and higher, the use of elevator became essential. The lifts at that time were quite slow and often the people who used them expressed complaints. The engineers of the era began to think of the solution to the problem. One engineer expressed the view that the elevators are slow, but because people don’t have something to occupy their time in the path, one gets the feeling that time does not exist! So it was proposed the use of a mirror and the first tests showed that the complaints have decreased substantially, so their use was established.
