What you need to eat every woman to have strong bones

After menopause, women are prone to degeneration of the bone due to the fall in estrogen levels. American scientists have found, however, that a delicious fruit helps to maintain bone density as the years pass by.
In accordance with the findings in accordance with the onmed, publish in the inspection Osteoporosis, researchers from the State University of San Diego, five to six prunes per day significantly improve the health of the bones.
In the context of the test, the researchers provided women who had passed the stage of menopause or supplement of dried plum 50 grams –an amount equal to 5-6 plums– or a placebo pill (placebo) for a period of six months.
The group of the plum showed increased bone density and had more robust bones in comparison with the group of the virtual pill.
The beneficial effect of plum is detected in chemical substances that block the so-called reabsorption of the bone, i.e. the process in which the bone degenerates over the years.
The new data confirm that the plum provides benefits for the bones. A corresponding study carried out earlier had indicated that the dried plums in a quantity of about 100 grams (10-12 plums) daily for a period of one year is associated with improved bone mineral density and improved markers of bone metabolism in women after the menopause.
The new study looked at whether piece of fruit can provide benefits even in smaller quantity and in a shorter time, and the findings seem to acquiesce in this direction.
