Ladies and gentlemen,
Please to take joint initiatives for the refugee crisis. We suggest that we have to send out direct letters to all the journalists ‘ associations of all european states and to inform you about the situation of refugees, who daily arrive in our country.
At the same time, we propose the organisation directly meeting with Athens, to which will be invited all the journalists ‘ associations in the Balkans, in the presence of representatives of the International and the European Federation with the aim of raising awareness of society and the simultaneous weakening of extreme elements, such as those we have seen recently in Germany and in Norway and in other countries of central Europe.
This event can be done with the involvement of the Monitoring centre for Xenophobia and Racism of our Union. Also, in cooperation with the Union of Photojournalists to organise a photo exhibition of the members on the refugee crisis.
We believe that, with good will, a lot of work and sensitivity, which distinguishes all the members of the board.p. the Cultural Foundation of our Union, we will be able in a short period of time to make this series of events.
In this way we will give our own position as Greek journalists, as we have done in their respective historical moments of the hundred years of operation of our Union.
