This year marks 20 years since the death of Elytis(1911-1996) and the Region of Central Macedonia the honours of organising a music event, with a dynamic youth orchestra “Young Musicians Without Borders” and Guest Kostas Macedon. You’ll hear recitations of poems and poems of the poet of the “Guidelines”, the “Sun of the Iliatoras”, “The Roo of love”, and “Axion Esti”.
The President of the Cultural Center of the RCM, Mrs. Anna Μυκωνίου said:
“For us, the Greeks, the Elytis is the poet, the one who taught us to appreciate the richness of our language, “the record in the mysteries”, to listen to the splashes of the sea, to respect the landscapes of our country, to observe the play of sunlight on κυκλαδόσπιτα.
20 years after the death of the we have to keep alive the memory and the poetics of creation. The lyrics of Elytis inspired the most important modern Greek composers. In this separate co-existence is dedicated to the event. We will present you a night full of melodic moments, the poetry will be alive, will touch, warm and inspire the hearts of all, and we hope people, especially young people”
