Two firsts for Ansable and one gold – one silver for Lytra in the 9th Aphrodite Cup finale

With two gold medals for the National Ansable in the final instruments, as well as with a gold and a silver for Panagiota Lytra, the 9th Aphrodite Cup International Tournament was completed in Faliro, which was the best prelude to the World Cup following the coming week (22-24 March), also in Tae Kwon Do. A total of 280 athletes from 32 countries were found in this year’s Aphrodite Cup, with Greek champions making their official debut this year, presenting their new programs, with which they aspire to finally reach the Olympic qualification through the May European Championship. The National Ansable (Eira Laura Gikoka, Eirini Konistis, Marietta Topollai, Marilena Triantou, Alessia Hatalari) achieved “2 out of 2” in the final instruments, with 33.400 points in 5 Stefania and 28,500 points in 3 Ribelles / 2 Balles, underwriting both the Mexican team, which has already secured the Olympic ticket, as well as that of Australia. The Greek team said goodbye to the event with three medals, after having won the silver in the complex match, and will aim for even better executions in the next World Cup. Panagiota Lytra, who after the gold in the complex individual, added to her harvest two more medals to the final instruments of the individual women, finishing 1st on the wreath (34,300 b.), 2nd on the pins (31,150 b.), 5th on the ribbon (29,550 b.) and 6th on the ball (30,350 b.). Present in the finals of the individual women was also Rania Synhuna, who won 8th place on the pins with 28,250 points, one week before her first participation in a World Cup. At the same time, in the corresponding instruments of the category of Young women, blue and white colors represented for the second consecutive year Friday Belia, which ranked 5th on the wreath with 29.450 points. Finally, in Ansable Neanids, where the teams of three unions, the five of the organizing club G.O. competed. P.F. “The Harmony” won the silver medal in the 5 pairs of Corinnes (24,350 b.) and bronze at 5 Stephens (23,000 b.). A.O. Pulse Argyroupolis took 4th place in both Korunas (22.200 b.) and Stefania (22.750 b.), while G.S. Olives occupied 6th place in Stephens (18,400 b.) and 8th in the Korns (14,650 b.). The 9th International Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament Aphrodite Cup was organized by the Gymnastics Club of Old Faliro “The Harmony”, co-organized by the Hellenic Gymnastics Federation and the Municipality of Old Faliro, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, the General Secretariat of Equality & Human Rights, the Region of Attica and the Greek Tourism Organization and with institutional support for the Society of Public Estates (EDAD) SA. The event was supported by the environmental organization “Institute Group for the World – Environmental Alliance 2004+”, promoting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and having joined the second tier of the Green Sports League certification system.
