Twelve days without electricity, the 1st EPAL of Amaliados

The electrical damage occurred in the substation of the school last Monday, February 15. The director informed directly to the municipality about the problem, and the latter sent an electrician to restore the damage. The electrician, despite the titanic efforts, has not managed to restore the damage: after all, it was found that damaged electrical equipment (circuit breaker medium voltage, which requires immediate replacement in order to find the EPAL… light.
The replacement had at his disposal the electrician, but the cost is of the order of € 5,000 approximately. So the students of EPAL is waiting for the Municipality to complete the adoption of the cost to restore the damage.
Theory in the dark
Some of the specialties taught in the vocational senior high school are mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science, disciplines that require practical training of students in laboratories. “It is only theory we do here and two weeks”, they told us students and replied: “well, it’s not so cold weather, otherwise we’d freeze.” Someone else, a student, said with humor: “We have become experts in the theory of darkness”.
Mr. Koulouris Dimitrios, assistant professor of Computer science, said the “Patrice”:
“The problem is that it has broken the circuit breaker for medium voltage in the substation of the school by the previous Monday. By order of the Municipality, who immediately showed interest, came an electrician who tried to solve the problem but it didn’t, because in addition there is a power outage. The PPC has isolated for reasons of safety the supply of electricity to the school.
We have been informed that the electrical replacement part you need for the restoration of the damage costs about 5,000 euros and wait for the approval from the Municipality for mounting the electrician spare part”.
