at 13:00, in the area of Kimi in order to enhance the efforts of evacuation of residents in the mountain villages and to offer every possible assistance to the affected residents, particularly in the area of providing first Aid.
In this context, the Hellenic Red Cross has planned to distribute to patients of the General Hospital of Kimi, “Georgios Papanikolaou” blankets and sleeping bags while maintaining open communication with managers of the Operations Centre of Civil Protection, in order assist in every possible way the efforts of the State to deal with the consequences caused by the heavy snow and the extreme weather events of the last few days.
It is worth noting that from Tuesday 10 January 2017, Volunteers Samaritans, Rescuers of the Regional Department of E.E.P. Chalkida, with suitable rescue equipment, pharmacies, and rescue vehicles, they were in Kimi, assisting the work of the competent Authorities, as well as many residents remained trapped in their homes without electricity and water.
