‘Tourism for all 2024’: The submission of applications starts on Thursday 14 March – Beneficiaries and criteria

On Thursday, March 14, at 14:00, the submission for the program “” which first includes an increased holiday coupon (voucher) worth up to 400 euros begins, until Monday, April 1, 23:59. ‘Tourism for all 2024’ shall mean all potential beneficiaries covering the criteria. Beneficiaries can issue a intangible digital debit card, which they will use for their stay at any hotel or accommodation in the country they choose. The new Tourism Ministry Programme, implemented with the support of the Information Society, in collaboration with the Ministries of Digital Governance, National Economy and Finance, aims to directly strengthen domestic tourism activity by covering a significant part of the cost of residence of beneficiaries. Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni stressed the strong social significance of the new program with the significant support of beneficiaries, the increase of the criterion for income, the inclusion of new categories of special social groups. It is, as he said, part of the government’s wider effort to support Greek households and businesses as well as the ministry’s new strategy for the sustainability of tourism product. The Minister added that it strengthens the goal of extending the tourist season and aims to directly strengthen domestic tourism activity. The wider use of the program, by our fellow citizens and by hoteliers, will also strengthen the mountainous areas of our country, which operate mainly outside the summer season. Finally, it thanks in advance the hotel units that will support the Tourism for all of this year and provide the beneficiaries with the best hospitality. The recruitment of all, concluded the minister, with the aim of developing tourism and offering high-level services, contributes to the faster development of the Greek tourist product. The strong social sign of the new program was also mentioned by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Helena Raptis, pointing out that it is improved for the benefit of its beneficiaries and at the same time developmental for the benefit of all Greek tourism. The Ministry of Tourism, added Mrs. Raptis, responds to the multiple bet, to cover the need for vacations especially to those who cannot easily make them, to promote the sustainability of destinations and to expand tourism throughout the country beyond the usual months of peak. Finally, it thanks everyone to the services of the Ministry of Tourism and the Information Society, which systematically led to the achievement of the project. Beneficiaries and criteria The Programme, which is the upgraded digital version of the Tourism for all 2022 Programme, provides: – Increased subsidy of EUR 200 per beneficiary (from EUR 150 provided for in the previous Programme), – Amount of EUR 300 to natural persons: unmarried or widowed persons with protected children, based on the latest cleared at the time of submission of the application for a Natural Persons Income Tax Statement 2022, married or parties to a contract of association with three protected children and above, on the basis of the last cleared application for a joint or separate Natural Persons Income Tax Statement 2022. It is noted that the existence of the above-mentioned number of children to receive the increased aid is possible once. pensioners of all the Funds with a final decision to award an old-age pension up to 31.12.2022, who meet the conditions laid down in the relevant Joint Ministerial Decision and call for an early retirement pension. – Special provision for a higher subsidy of EUR 400 for disabled persons from 67% or more and beneficiaries with disabled children from 67% or more. – Immediate payment and redemption of the amount of the digital debit card, to any accommodation provider (hotels, accommodation etc.) and to any destination of the country, without geographical restrictions, – Direct compensation of providers, which puts an end to waiting and time-consuming bureaucratic procedures. – Consumption of the amount of one-off or in instalments until December 2024, in order to support the choice of holiday outside a high tourist season.
