Through gov.gr the registration of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans

Through the electronic platform it will be accessible to register all Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SBAK), aiming at their flexible management. The Ministries of Transport and Infrastructure and Digital Governance prepare Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans in order, by registering them on gov.gr, to provide public administration with appropriate tools to facilitate their examination and monitoring of their implementation path. The platform will be a national central database in which all deliverables and data of a SVAK will be entered in electronic form. In particular, the electronic platform will register the SVAK established, SVAK cycle reports, progress reports, the updated action plan and all information or data relating to the SVAK each time. This is an important development, as SVAKs are related to upgrading the quality of life of citizens especially in urban areas and optimal coverage of their mobility needs. It also aims to develop functions that serve to formulate policies to promote sustainable urban mobility. In addition, it will serve communication with a view to updating and exchanging applied practice in implementing SBAK measures in Greece. For example, it will contain measures to serve the objectives of the SBAK, a system of objectives and indicators monitoring the implementation of the proposed measures, applied practices for implementing measures and a repository of information material, as defined in paragraph 2 of Article 11 of Law 4784/2021 (A’40). The process of creating, developing, operating and maintaining the electronic platform for SVAK is defined in a Joint Ministerial Decision (GEC II, 1735/202024) by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christos Staikouras, the Minister of Digital Governance Dimitris Papastergiou and the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Christina Alexopoulou.
