Thessaloniki: Report for work bullying against 60 year old to avoid getting compensation

The 60-year-old at the hospital claims she was a victim of a labor force who forced her to resign. As she claims, the employer’s goal was not to pay her compensation… A serious complaint of work bullying, involving 60-year-olds in Thessaloniki, who worked in a private company, comes to light. According to the complaint, the worker experienced labor intimidation which reached the attempt at handicraft by her employer when she announced her decision to leave for retirement. As the 60-year-old’s daughter in Mega says, the case is now in court, while recourse to the Labour Inspectorate did not produce the expected result. “For 19 consecutive years he had a very important position with many responsibilities. There was an attempt at handicraft by the employer’s husband. The employer said “I will pay compensation to whom I like and which she deserves.” According to the worker’s daughter: “From the Labour Review we were told that it is a common phenomenon of the Greek employer and that a possible solution may be found in the competent civil courts. Mom experienced extreme labor bullying from this company and from employership. It has psychosomatics”. The first court, which involved work bullying and the payment of compensation for overwork has been made and the findings are expected, while the next month the second court on the 60-year-old’s overall compensation is expected. “The first court from which we still have no effect. We’ve come to the point of telling the courts better than mental hospitals. In the second court we claim dismissal compensation. He was not fired, pushed into a voluntary departure because he couldn’t take it anymore,” said the complainant’s daughter and added that there are other employees “who have left and been fired in this way before and after my mother”.
