Thessaloniki: Naval torches, flash bang grenades and poles found by ELAS during the raid at AUTH

Activated flash bang grenades, poles, naval torches and a sledgehammer were found among others during his School of Positive Sciences in Thessaloniki. The police operation at Aristotle University on Saturday afternoon (16.03. 24) was made following a complaint to cause damage, externally the library under construction. All 49 admissions were turned into arrests. At the same time, according to the announcement of ELAS, during the raid were found and seized: 22 wooden poles, on the edges of which were adapted pieces of fabric, 12 asphyxiogen masks, 11 fire extinguishers, containing paint, 4 pyrotechnic structures (type naval torch), 1 metal iron cutter, 2 metal cutting wheels, 2 cutting wheels, 1 wheel key, 1 bariopter, 6 circular helmets, 2 activated hand grenades (glimmering and tear gas), 1 portable computer, clothing items (gaves, ballalaves) and a number of locks and door chains. Pre-interrogation is conducted by the State Security Sub-Directorate of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate. The police raid took place after information that strangers tried to cause corruption in the under-built library, in the area of the former occupation of Biologicals. In particular, some attempted to remove sheetware from the library. Then, the same people tried to hide themselves inside the CTHE and the police went into surgery within the school to track them down. Within the school there were other persons, as STHE is under occupation. Meanwhile, speaking on Open TV, the representative of ELAS, Constantia Demoglidos, noted that all 49 are charged with disrupting the operation of public service. As Mrs. Demoglidou said, the wheel with which they tried to cut the sheet was also located.
