Thessaloniki: Gas and batteries stolen from large vehicles – 38 year old arrested

More than 70 large vehicles had succeeded and had stolen a 38-year-old in the last few weeks, along with two more people. According to what became known, over 77 truck batteries, works machines and tractors reportedly stole 38 years old, during the last two months, from areas of Thessaloniki. He was arrested red-handedly when he attempted to remove another battery from a truck in the area of Sindos. From the police investigation it emerged that along with two of his accomplices, a 45-year-old and a 36-year-old made 22 thefts and attempts to steal, not only batteries but fuel (1,200 liters of oil), with the total value of the stolen goods being determined at 18,000 euros. As announced, their areas of action were N. Magnesia, Halastra, East, Cymina, N.Malgara, and the BI.PE. Sindu. In an investigation that followed in his home arrested and seized – including – two pistols, thirty cartridges and a shotgun. All persons involved are Greeks, while the 38-year-old is led to the prosecutor.
