Thessaloniki: Agony for pharmacists after answering burglaries and thefts

Barrage of thefts and noted lately in pharmacies in with pharmacists stating desperate with the situation. During a meeting, the Thessaloniki and ELAS went on Thursday (28.03.2024), focusing on the 19 incidents and burglaries in pharmacies investigated in the co-captain. The pharmacists of Thessaloniki and the President of the FSTH, Dionysios Evgenidis, were informed by the authorities that 19 cases were investigated, while General Police Director of Thessaloniki, Major General George Papadopoulos, promised the reinforcement of patrols in the neighborhoods with the aim of limiting similar incidents. The representatives of the FCH carried the anguish of pharmacists due to the wave of theft and burglary in the last 15 days and called for intensified policing measures to restore the sense of security. For their part the police have assured that 14 cases of theft and 5 cases of burglaries have been solved in pharmacies, while they have assured that very soon all cases will be resolved and put an end to the action of the burglars group. The representatives of the Greek Police have asked the FCH delegation to inform the members of the Association to take all necessary security measures to shield their pharmacies and, if necessary, improve and strengthen them. They also stressed that direct communication with “100” and the complaint of any incident of theft or burglary is crucial for identifying the perpetrators.
