The Municipal Committee of Athens will submit a proposal for funding that will “unblock” the issue that has arisen with the cleaning of the area to be built on the new stadium. ‘At the meeting of the Municipal Commission of 19 March 2024, the following decisions were unanimously taken, which also concern the financing of projects by the AM in the Redevelopment Area II: (1) Approval of a proposal for financing to RIS/IPP/21824/508-27. 02.2024 Announcement of an intention to finance the Ministry of Environment and Energy, entitled: “Construction of a new football stadium of Panathinaikos in Botanical”, call code 317, A/A OPS: 7502, Amount 115,000,000,00€, relating to the Act entitled: “Construction of a new Panathinaikos Football Field in Botanical” in order to join and be funded under Priority Axis 2.11 “Green cities (urban reconstructions, modernisation of urban transport fleets, etc.) of the TPA/PPP. 2) Approval of the submission of a proposal to the Ministry of Development and Investment for the financing of proposals for new projects by the Municipality of Athens in the No. 25305/21-3-2023 Call for proposals for new projects to the Special Programme of the Municipality of Athens by priority axis as follows: 2,111 PRRAINES POLES “Comaturgical work to remove all kinds of materials in Panathinaikos football field under construction in the Botanic-Oleas region of the Municipality of Athens (1st SA)” lasting 4 months (the duration of the main construction project is 36 months), a total budget of 6,863,881,99€ with participation in the National Development Programme (EPA) 6,863,881,99 €, (project implemented by the Building Infrastructure Directorate)”.
