The programme of events, organised by the Region of Central Macedonia, Edessa, includes:

Official welcome of his Excellency the President of the Republic, mr. Prokopis Pavlopoulos and performance values.
Glorification of the Holy Metropolitan Church of Edessa, with the χοÏοστασία of Metropolitan kallinikos of Edessa, Pella and Almopia mr Joel and pronunciation, the history of the day by the Deputy Professor of modern and Contemporary History, University of Peloponnese, Thanasis Christos.
-Time of 11.40 p.m.:
Memorial service at the war Memorial of the town and wreath of his Excellency the President of the Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulos.
One minute’s silence.
National Anthem.
-12.00 m.:
Parade of the disabled war veterans, pupils, schoolgirls, scouts – guides and sections of the Armed Forces.
According to the decision of the regional Governor of Central Macedonia Apostolos Τζιτζικώστα is also defined:
-General bunting, from 8: 00 in the morning until sunset on the day of the event.
-Floodlighting of all public, municipal and community shops and archaeological sites and monuments of the Municipality of Edessa, as well as of shops, PUBLIC law legal entities and Banks from the sunset on the day of the events until the early hours of the next day.
