With the initiative of the President of KEDE and Mayor of Maroussi G. ΠατοÏλη, next Sunday, 27 March 2016, will be held charity race… for the purpose of collecting medicinal material which will be sent to border areas to assist vulnerable of our fellow citizens.
The race, co-organised by the Municipalities of Maroussi and Vrilissia, but also the support of the Municipality of Penteli, will start at 10.00 am.m. starting from the town Hall of Maroussi and termination of the closed Municipal Gymnasium of the Municipality of Vrilissia. The route has a length of 10 kilometers and will have a duration of approximately 2 hours.
In parallel with the main race will be held, and athletic activity for children. Specifically in the last 200 m. before the termination, will be taken and one race with a skateboard for the young athletes. The start time of the race is expected to be a little after 11.30 and the duration will not exceed one hour.
It is worth noting that the participation of the competitors will be free of charge.
The President of KEDE and Mayor of Maroussi G. Patoulis said about the event:
“The KEDE remains consistent in the commitment to help and to comfort, with everything it has on vulnerable groups of citizens, especially those located in the border areas. In the context of the initiatives we are taking to address the social consequences of the crisis, we organize this event, charitable nature, aiming to collect medicinal material for our fellow human beings who don’t have easy access to the structures health. All of us who serve the Local Government we have a moral and social duty to respond effectively and efficiently to the needs of the citizens, for this, and we will continue this effort with all our strength”.
