Almost all when we hear about his Battle our thoughts go to but also to some important match of either football or basketball Olympiacos. In this Battle of Faliro, which took place almost 200 years ago, more than 1,500 Greeks died in their lives, as well as chieftain George Karaiskakis. More specifically, George Karaiskakis lost his life a few days before the main battle, in the first hostilities between Greek and Turkish troops.
