The colossal company, which had paid the amount of 8.5 billion dollars (about 7,6 billion euro) for the acquisition of Skype in 2011, has announced that it intends to shut down the company building soon.
Regarding the news, which had grown first published in the Financial Times, Microsoft had replied that it was closing offices in street, Holborn, as the decision has been taken for the unification of certain jobs.
“We are deeply committed to doing everything possible in order to help those who are affected by this process”, referred to in the notice of the company.
As he mentions in an article the british newspaper The Guardian, the closure of the office of Skype in London is another blow to the technology community in the Uk, after the decision of the citizens for the country’s withdrawal from the European Union earlier this year.
