23-year-old, for sexual battery against a 13-year-old girl.
The 23-year-old claimed that he didn’t know that the girl was so young, as he believed the “statement” on Facebook, where it was presented as 17 years old. The young man said before the court that whatever happened, happened with the consent of the girl, with whom he had developed a relationship.
The incident which occurred in Heraklion, was denounced to the authorities by the parents of the child.
The appeal will have a blocking power, with the condition of the 23-year-old to pay until 13 December in the amount of eur 500 in favour of the Housing of Minors. The 23-year-old were also deprived of his political rights for 2 years.
At the end of the procedure, the chair invited two women, witnessed from the side of the defendant, which issued a stern recommendation, stressing that they should be prosecuted for perjury, as it was considered that with their attitude contributed to come “near” the 13-year-old with the 23-year-old.
