New research in the Psychology of Popular Media Culture, which was attended by 83 students showed that the more messages you send before you go to sleep, the more difficult it is to fall asleep.
The reason is that many times the answers to the messages coming to you after you are asleep thereby interrupting your sleep.
But even if you don’t have get to sleep, the sounds of the consecutive messages may influence subsequent sleep causing your insomnia or other problems.
What is suggested by the research to improve the quality of your sleep is to put your cell phone on silent (without vibration with the screen facing down) a bit before you go to bed or even better turn it off.
